The HBCU Global Leadership Internship provides students from historically Black colleges and universities with a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful work that enhances global literacy efforts. Interns will gain hands-on experience in administrative tasks, project management, and the operational aspects of an international literacy mission. Participants will also receive a stipend of $3,000

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older at the start of the program.

• Currently enrolled in college, preferably at an HBCU.

• Resident of South Carolina or attending a South Carolina Institute of Higher Education.

• Must complete an online application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

• Must have an active email account and respond to email communications promptly.

• Must have an active voicemail and respond to voice messages promptly.

Internship Details:

• Location: Work will primarily be conducted remotely, with potential opportunities for travel. One in-person workday per month is required.

• Weekly Hours: Expected to contribute 10-15 hours per week

• Program Duration: 6 months, with flexible working hours to accommodate academic commitments.

• Travel Discounts: Interns will receive discounts on international travel opportunities related to the mission.
